Bobby Richard Gooding, 72, of Fayetteville, Ark., died Sept. 18, 2012, at Combs, Ark. He was born May 9, 1940, at Fayetteville, Ark., the son of Odie Richard and Jewel Wilson Gooding. He was a construction equipment operator. His wife, Julie Lee Mullins Gooding, whom he married on July 10, 1959, preceded him in death on June 19, 2010. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Nadine Dunn; one grandson, Billy Ward Harp; and one great-granddaughter, Malena Harp. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Debbie Gooding of Fayetteville, Ark.; one daughter and son-in-law, Janita and Bill Harp of Combs, Ark.; two sisters, Sue Sooter of Fayetteville, Ark., and Bonnie Ferguson of Payson, Ariz.; two grandsons and three granddaughters-in-law, Darrell and Michelle Gooding of Fayetteville, Ark., and Jarrett and Cassie Harp of Combs, Ark., and Regina Harp of Saint Paul, Ark.; two granddaughters and one grandson-in-law, Amber Gooding of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Brittney and Richard Adams of Springdale, Arkansas; three great-grandsons, Hunter Gooding and Matthew Gooding, both of Fayetteville, Ark., and Wyatt Harp of Combs, Ark.; and one great-granddaughter, Kayla Harp of Saint Paul, Ark. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at the Combs Cemetery with the Rev. Walter Vanderlip officiating.
