William Allen Lowry

William Allen Lowry, age 69, of Fayetteville died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. He was born June 17, 1943, in Shirley, Ark., the son of Jack and Ina Lowry. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Diane Fernbacher; and a brother, Robert Lowry. He retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Fayetteville and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Lowry; four daughters, Angela Lowry of Fayetteville, Jennifer Cearley and her husband, Jeff Hughes, of Seattle, Wash., April Park and her husband, Robert, of Decatur, Ark., and Catherine Lowry of Fayetteville; a sister, Shelba Norene Peden of Choctaw, Ark.; two grandchildren, Anna Cearley and Connor Park; and an uncle, Joshua Beckham and his wife, Mary, of Vestal, N.Y. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Moore's Chapel and burial will be in Fayetteville National Cemetery. Family requests no flowers.
