Linda Sue Walton

Linda Sue Walton, 74, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Salem, Mo. to Charles Meyers Julian and Lorene Sexton Julian. She was a charter member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bentonville and was actively involved in starting and running the food pantry that has provided aid to many families in the local community. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Walton. She is survived by three sons, Jay Burton, and wife, Belinda, of Bentonville, Ark., Ray Burton, and wife, Debbie, of Dixon, Mo., Clay Burton, and wife Pam, of Bentonville, Ark.; one brother, Richard Julian, and wife, Dottie, of Rochester, N.H.; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bentonville, Ark. with Reverend Stacy M. Seger officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Salem Memorial Cemetery in Salem, Mo.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Linda Walton in care of the Food Pantry at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 406 West Central, Bentonville, AR, 72712.
