Avis E. McLeod

Avis E. McLeod, 84, died Oct. 24, 2012, at Circle of Life in Springdale. She was born on Dec. 23, 1927, to the late Enos and Vera (Holt) Rogers. She was the loving wife of the late Rex E. McLeod Sr. Ms. McLeod was a payroll supervisor for Tyson Foods for many years. She was a lifetime volunteer and past president for the Hospital Axillary at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was also a member of the Liberty Bell E.H. Club. One of her greatest joys was teaching the TEL Sunday school class at the First Baptist Church of Lowell. Avis enjoyed reading and was a fabulous cook. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. She is survived by her sons, Larry McLeod and his wife, Ann, of Missouri, Jim McLeod of Springdale and Skip McLeod of Rogers; her daughter, Linda McLeod of Rogers; brother, Bob and his wife, Lori Rogers, of Rogers; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Ms. McLeod is preceded in death by her husband and parents. A visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, from 2-3 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Benton County Memorial Park, Rogers.
