Sallie Simmons

Sallie Simmons, of Maysville, Ark., died Oct. 14, 2012, at her home. Born in Alma, Neb., she was the daughter of M.H. "Bill" Simmons and Mazzine Babcock Simmons. Sallie was a graduate of Siloam Springs High School, Siloam Springs, Ark., and received a bachelor's degree in business from Tulsa University, Tulsa, Okla. Sallie was owner of Morningside Farms, Maysville. She was a member of the Northwest Arkansas Hand-Weavers Guild, a Master Gardener and an avid golfer. Sallie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Siloam Springs, Ark. She was loved by many, and missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her sister, Vicki Simmons Dawson and spouse, Bill, of Long Beach, California; brother, Mark Simmons and wife, Diane, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; and sister, Jan Simmons McGuirk and spouse, James, of Siloam Springs, and Jan's son, Austin Seley, of Siloam Springs; nephew, Todd Simmons of Siloam Springs; and nieces, Jill Dawson and Claire Dawson, both of Long Beach, Calif., and Sarah Simmons of Greenwich, Conn.; and many Babcock and Simmons cousins. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark., with the Rev. Pamela Cicioni of Rogers, Ark., officiating.
