Gary A. Hevelone, 71, died on Oct. 18, 2012, in Rogers. He was born on Jan. 10, 1941, in Kansas City, Kan., to the late Sidney F. Hevelone and Mildred F. (Schwader) Hevelone of Scottsdale, Ariz. Gary was the loving husband of Cheryl E. (Henslee) Hevelone of Rogers. He worked in sales for many years at New Hope RV's, then went to work for Cabela's when it opened. He served in the United States Army Aviation Division and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lowell. Gary graduated from the University of Tulsa with a B.A., where he played four years on a basketball scholarship. He was an avid Razorback fan who loved to fish and camp with his family. Gary is survived by his wife; mother; children, Shane Hevelone and wife, Becky, of Rogers, and Kellie Burnett and husband, Chris, of Pea Ridge; sister, Marva Lee Crozier and husband, Robert, of Scottsville, Ariz., and five grandchildren, Ivy, Mason, Rosie, Natalie and Grant. His memorial service will be Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Lowell, with Pastor Gary Thomas officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home.
