Mary Ellen Smith, 70, of Little Rock, Arkansas, died Monday, October 8, 2012 in Little Rock. She was born March 24, 1942 in Coal Hill, Arkansas to Vanis and Quita Lois Shafer Hicks. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Highland Cemetery in Ozark, Arkansas under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. She is survived by one brother, Ronnie Hicks; one sister, Sonya Williams; nieces and nephews, Gary Williams and wife Dawn, and Steve Williams and wife Teresa, Brian Hicks, and Darren Hightchew and wife Stacy.
