Ann Elizabeth Roberts (Adamek)

Ann Elizabeth Roberts (Adamek), 97, of Bella Vista, Ark., died on May 22, 2012. Ann was born on Sept. 12, 1914, in La Junta Colo., the daughter of Marie and Joseph Adamek. Precious wife of the late Fred Louis Roberts; beloved mother to Fred Louis Roberts Jr. (Gloria) of Oakley, Calif., and Dr. Sandra Marie Roberts of LaGrange Park, Ill.; and wonderful friend. Before she was married, Ann worked in Washington D.C. for Bureau of Indian Affairs. Ann loved life and lived with a spirit of graciousness, caring and cheerfulness, even minutes before she died. She enjoyed challenging her sharp mind and keeping abreast with current affairs, including social and environmental issues. She embraced and appreciated the particulars of life in the daily routine and honored the blessings she received with great care. She touched many in her daily interactions. We all mourn her loss deeply. A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72714. Contributions can be made to the Habitat for Humanity, Heifer International or Doctors without Borders in her name.
