Kaye Rogers-Smith, age 71, of Springdale, Ark., passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. Kaye was born on Jan. 27, 1941, in Compton, Ark., the daughter of Verlon and Ola (Mathis) Spencer. Kaye lived most of her life in Harrison, Ark. Along with her parents, Kaye was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Rogers and Lindy Smith; her brothers-in-law, Gene Bowen and Lester Wyatt; as well as one nephew, Wayne Wyatt. Kaye is survived by her son, Rustin Rogers of New York; daughter, Tina Logsdon and husband, Jim, of Springdale, Ark.; her granddaughter and Precious Angel, Amy Nicole Logsdon of Springdale; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Jemmie and Charles Bowen of Lowell, Ark., Jo Ann and Clarence Bowen of Springdale, Ark.; and sister, Jackie Bowen of Lowell, Ark. Pallbearers will be Jr. Keys, Eugene Qualls, Joe Nowlin, Steve Clarkson, Jackie Rogers, Todd Rogers, Teddy Hank Rogers, Fred Rogers and J.G. Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Patrick Travis, Dr. Robert Langston, Bobby Biship, Harry Sternn, "Freto" Joe Jones, Donald Middleton, Jeff Hudson, Brock Tabor, Curt Ryan, Mike Heavener, Charles Bowen, Clarence Patton, Randy Rainey, Jim Hayes, Barbara Keys, Shirley Bell, Peggy Bell, Bobbie Marshall, Carol Gandy, Sue Stewart, Jody Dickerson, Leta Price and Ron Youngblood. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home in Harrison with pastors Billy Rogers and Kevin Rogers officiating.
