Dorothy Ellen Nichols

Dorothy "Ellen" Nichols, 78, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at her home. She was born Feb. 22, 1934, in Caldwell, Wash., to Oscar Peterson and Agnes (Wright) Peterson. Ellen lived here all of her life. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1952. She married Woodrow Nichols on Easter of 1980 in Bolivar, Mo. She helped with 4-H and EH Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Donell. Survivors include her husband, Woodrow Nichols, of the home; three sons, Clark Belts of Gravette, Ark., Scott Belts and wife, Kelli, of Hiwasse, Ark., and James Nichols of Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters, Shawn Bohall and husband, Keith, of Kremmling, Colo., and Debbie Fisher and husband, Bob, of Goshen, Ark.; one brother, Beatty Peterson of the state of Oregon; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on the day of the service. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse, Ark.
