Victor S. Greenquist

Victor S. Greenquist, 84, of Fayetteville died June 16, 2012, at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville. He was born July 13, 1927, in St. Paul to Otto and Stella Greenquist. He spent 18 years as an enlisted man with the United States Navy, then was commissioned as an officer in 1964. He served two tours with the Navy in Vietnam aboard the USS Enterprise and then retired in 1969. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Nell Greenquist of Fayetteville; daughter, Sandy Greenquist of St. Paul, Minn.; son, Terry Greenquist and wife, Stephanie, of Williamsburg, Va.; grandchildren, Hilary Caligiuri and husband, Craig, of Minneapolis, Minn., Justice Lindell and wife, Joanna, of Eagan, Minn., Dylan Greenquist, Taylor Greenquist and Avery Greenquist, all of Williamsburg, Va.; great-grandchildren, Mira Caligiuri and Cooper Caligiuri, both of Minneapolis, Minn., Viola Lindell and J. Oliver Lindell, both of Eagan, Minn.; and several other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Butterfield Trail Village, 1923 E. Joyce Blvd., Fayetteville, AR 72703, with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery at 11 a.m. under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel.
