Norris Counts

Norris Counts, 87, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, at his home. He was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Wesley, Ark., to Otis and Marie (Stokenbury) Counts. He was a retired rural letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, a University of Arkansas graduate and a baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Leah Mason Counts; and his second wife of 16 years, Jerri Herriman Counts. He is survived by one son, Dennis Counts of Springdale, Ark.; one daughter, Paula Means of Fayetteville, Ark.; one brother, Harlan Counts of Conyers, Ga.; two grandchildren, Karla Groff and husband, Eric, of Russellville, Ark., Curtis Means of Rogers, Ark.; and one great-grandson, Ty Groff of Russellville, Ark.
