Mitchell "Bones" Ray Smith

Mitchell "Bones" Ray Smith, 52, of Fayetteville passed away June 15, 2012, in Fayetteville. He was born May 14, 1960, in Hutchinson, Kan., to the Late Richard H. Smith and Carma Heckathorn Hughey. He was a graduate of Holdenville, Okla., High School and attended Okmulgee Technical School. He was a Christian who enjoyed music, motorcycles and spending time with family and friends. He was preceeded in death by his father, Richard H. Smith; and grandparents, Ray H. and Alluwe Smith of Holdenville, Okla., and Carmen and Dan Cook of Great Bend, Kan. Survivors include his mother, Carma Hughey of the home; brother, Don Lee Smith of Fayetteville; special friends, Stacey Berkshire, Rex Lowery and Chuck Adkins, all of Fayetteville; as well as many other friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 23, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Beards Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ray Baggett officiating. Private burial will be in Shawnee, Okla., at a later date. Cremation arrangements will be under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.
