Aaron Max Brown born October 6, 1988 in North Little Rock, Arkansas died Saturday, July 7, 2012 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He is survived by his mother, Sheila Brown of Bauxite, Arkansas; father, Wendell Brown of Little Rock, Arkansas; one sister, Samantha Brown, also of Little Rock; grandparents, Gene and Bertha Hudgins of Rogers, Arkansas; his aunt, Michelle Frazier of Rogers, Arkansas; and many other family members and friends. Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Purvis Efford Brown and Elma Ruth Riley-Brown of Huntsville, Arkansas and his maternal grandfather, Floy Max Crumley of Hindsville, Arkansas. Aaron was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for high adventure. He was an Eagle Scout, from Troop 30 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Little Rock, and a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, the national camping honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. He had a lifelong love of "beautiful Cove Creek Scout Reservation" (now Camp Rockefeller), and for hiking, camping, rock climbing and caving which he developed during his years in scouts. Aaron experienced Philmont Scout Ranch, the BSA high adventure camp, at Cimmarron, New Mexico six times during his scouting years, twice as a cub scout, twice on boy scout council contingent adventures, once at the Roving Outdoor Conservation School (ROCS) and as a summer back country staffer. He went to Packard High Adventure Base in Colorado and Ranger Week in Georgia to pursue rafting and climbing interests. Aaron joined the United States Army and attained "expert marksman." He studied EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) and satellite communications. He received the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Ribbon, and the Global War on Terrorism Ribbon. Aaron was a member by baptism in First Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas. He had a fun, full rewarding life for 23 years and gave the gift of life to others in his passing through organ donation. A memorial service to celebrate Aaron's life will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Little Rock. Visitation will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Aaron's name to the Quapaw Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, Endowment Fund or Troop 30, St. Paul United Methodist Church.
