Jacob 'Jake' Allen Wages

Jacob "Jake" Allen Wages, 23, died Friday, July 6, 2012, in Joplin, Mo. He was born June 28, 1989, in Rogers, Ark. Jake graduated from Neosho High School in 2008 and lived most of his life in Gravette, Ark., and Joplin, Mo. He was currently employed at Aegis in Joplin, and was an avid hunter, motorcycle and dirt bike enthusiast, and played football and baseball. He is survived by his parents, Tim and DiAnna Wages, Neosho, and Jackie and David Thomas, Pea Ridge, Ark.; two sisters, Sarah Wages, Pea Ridge, Ark., and Jodi Bond, Neosho; two brothers, Nicholas Wages, Lewistown, Ill., and Austin Bond, Neosho; maternal grandparents, Faye and Al Blair, Gravette, Ark.; paternal grandparents, Jim and Euella Powell, Watts, Okla., and Roger and Lisa Wages, Fayetteville, Ark.; two nieces and a nephew; and step-paternal grandmother, Janette Ragland, Goodman. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Olen Dyer; and step-paternal grandfather, Estis Ragland. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, from 6 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Splitlog Baptist Church, Goodman, with the Rev. Chad Pendergraft officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Jake's memory be made to Benton County Sunshine School, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O.
