Janel Nichole Balmer, 16, of Andover, Kan., Rose Hill High School student, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Visitation with the family is 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East. Memorial service 2 p.m. Sunday, July 8, at Countryside Christian Church. Survivors: parents, John and Julie Balmer of Andover, Kan.; brother, Justin Balmer of Wichita; maternal grandparents, Bob and Jane DeWitt of Bentonville, Ark.; paternal grandparents, Tom and JeAnne Balmer, and paternal great-grandmother, Katharine Jones, all of Aledo, Ill.; aunts and uncles, Jill and Robbie Lewis of Concord, N.C., and Scott and Julie Balmer of Aledo, Ill.
