Doug Elam

Doug Elam, 44, of Bentonville passed away June 28, 2012, in Bentonville. Doug was born Aug. 26, 1967, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Delmar and JoAnn Merriman Elam. He worked at the Centerton Inn. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy Elam and Terry Ledbetter; and one sister, Debbie Elam. He is survived by his daughter, Whitney Marie Harvey of New Mexico; four sisters, Jeannie Ferguson of Caldwell, Kan., Cindy Singleton of Bella Vista, Kathy Younger of Enid, Okla., and Janice Shelley of Bentonville; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Eastside Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Robert Ward officiating. Interment will follow in the Coffelt Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth St., Rogers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Doug Elam Cares account at any Iberiabank.
