Dorcas Stephens

Dorcas Stephens, 67, of Prairie Grove, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012, in Prairie Grove. She was born Feb. 2, 1945, in Winslow, the daughter of Presley and Thelma Henson Stephens. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Michael Jay Curry; siblings, Thurlo Haskle Stephens, Imaletta Jackson, Hazel Kaleiwahea, Arlie Verle Stephens, Imogene Huddleston, Lindle Glenn Stephens and Nelda Idella Leeders. Survivors include two sons, Steve Curry of Bella Vista; four daughters, Kim Wood and husband, Tom, of Watts, Okla., Marcina Wheeler of Prairie Grove, Kerri Booth and husband, Dave, of Fayetteville, and Lisa Overton of Anchorage, Alaska; six siblings, LaVada Juanita Hall of Snyder, Texas, Edna Opal Dotson of Chehalis, Wash., Lonnie Dee Stephens of Springdale, Ark., Larry Roger Stephens of Farmington, Presley Loman Stephens and Cheryl Rahn of Fayetteville, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, with Pastor Jackie Uselton officiating. Burial will be in Coyle Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, July 1, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Prairie Grove Friends of the Library.
