Janet Jones Stanton

Janet Jones Stanton, 65, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Highlands Health Care in Bella Vista. She was born on Oct. 4, 1946, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to William S. Jones and Lilly May Currie Jones. She was raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from OSU. She moved to McDonald County, Mo., in 1974 and worked as a medical technologist at Bates Hospital. In 1994, she began raising cut flowers and moved to Cave Springs, Ark., and later managed the Farmer’s Market in Rogers. She loved horses and was a member of “Cowgirl Up,” a women’s riding group. She was a member of the Christian Science Church of Rogers. She is survived by her former husband, Greg Stanton of Cave Springs, Ark.; one stepson, John Stanton of Arkansas; one stepdaughter, Joan Stanton of Arkansas; one sister, Suzanne Jones of Missouri; and two nephews, Bo Darde and Juan Jones of Missouri. A memorial service will be held in the spring. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
