Jamie Lytle Schneider

Jamie Lytle Schneider, age 69, of Midland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Midland Memorial Hospital/Hospice Unit. Jamie Kay was born May 8, 1942, to Evelyn Ora Lytle and Noble Desmond Lytle. Jamie graduated from Permian High School in 1960 and attended Odessa College for two years. She married Billy Douglas Schneider on Jan. 15, 1965, in Odessa, Texas. She and her husband owned B&R Oil Inc. in Odessa from 1984 until the present. Jamie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jamie and her late husband were collectors of Indian artifacts and Mexican pottery and enjoyed traveling to Santa Fe to visit longtime friends. Jamie was an avid reader and she loved to garden. She was a gourmet cook and make homemade candies at Christmas. She loved to fish on the Texas coast and also at the family lake house on Lake Leon. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband. She is survived by her loving and beautiful daughters, Kim Schneider Reese and husband, Richard, of Springdale, Ark., Romy Schneider of Midland, Texas, and Amy Schneider Curtis and husband, Sheldon, of Cypress, Texas; three sisters, Shirley Lytle Warren of Amarillo, Lynn Lytle Tompkins of Cambridge, Ohio, and Betty Lytle Priest and husband, Dan, of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren, Matt Reese and wife, Andrea, of Springdale, Ark., Mikayla and Brianna Curtis of Cypress, Texas; and a great-grandson, Zander Osborne of Springdale, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with Bill Billett officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
