Nicki Armstrong Weldon

Nicki Armstrong Weldon of Fort Smith, formerly of Rogers, Ark., died Dec. 21, 2012, at the age of 57. Nicki was born on Nov. 1, 1955, in Lawton, Okla., the only child of Thomas Mason Armstrong and Jean Grimes Armstrong. Nicki lived in various places across the United States during her childhood as her father worked for the U.S. Space Program. Following graduation from Woodland Hills High School in Woodland Hills, Calif., in 1973, Nicki moved to Rogers, Ark., with her parents and began working for Wal-Mart where she remained a dedicated employee for many years. Nicki was a fun-loving beauty queen who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was passionate about rock-n-roll music and automobiles, especially her beloved Trans Am. She had a zest for life that was contagious and all her many younger cousins thought she was the coolest! She had a real talent for drawing and sketching and could produce anything that came to mind, which was often animals as she had a deep love for dogs. She loved and adored her three beautiful children and had a giant-sized heart for everyone! She is survived by her husband, Dennis Weldon of Milton, Fla.; three children, Rhiannon Weldon of Farmington, Ark., Matthew Weldon of Camp Lejeune, S.C., and Jonathan Weldon of Milton, Fla.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Rosewood Cremation of Arkansas. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Chapel on the Creeks in Rogers, Ark., with Pastor Mark Maier officiating.
