Donald Leo Bolte, 75, of Bentonville, Ark., died Dec. 27, 2012, in Bentonville. He was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Tomahawk, Wis., the son of Thomas Lawrence Bolte and Alma Catherine Hotz Bolte. Don served in the United States Army where he was in Battery A 2nd Howitzer Battalion 36th Artillery 4th U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962. Following his military service, Don worked for Killoren Company as a lineman, foreman and operations manager. In 1981, Don, Larry and Helen established Killoren Company of Ark. Inc. He was the vice-president and operations manager until he retired in 2005. Don was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church of Bentonville and a member of the Rogers-Bentonville Elks Lodge #2144. Don volunteered at the AARP recycle in Bella Vista and at Horses for Healing. His hobbies and interests included gardening, grilling out, working with wood, watching sports and observing wildlife. His creativity and ability to do anything will be dearly missed by family, friends and loved ones. Don married Joyce Mount on Aug. 28, 1965, who survives him. Don is also survived by his son, Matt Bolte and wife, Casey, of Bentonville, Ark. He has two grandchildren, Matilynne Bolte and Ezekiel Peterson. Don is also survived by sisters, Darlene Cady and Dorothy Treml; and brothers, Edward, Eugene and Robert. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Alma Bolte; son, Mark; his brothers, Larry, Arthur, Jim; and sisters, Marie, Loraine, Marion, Rose and Fran. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Bentonville, with Msgr. Scott Marczuk officiating.
