Jack V. Sanders

Jack V. Sanders, 90, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice - Legacy in Bentonville, Ark. He was born on Nov. 29, 1922, in Tulsa, Okla., to Robert Sanders and Josephine (Everhart) Sanders. He was in the United States Coast Guard during World War II, having served in the European Theater of Operations, participating in invasions of Anzio, Salerno and Normandy. He worked in the banking industry for 50 years, was as avid wood-carver and loved gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marion Sanders; son, Cary Sanders; and daughter, Angela Regan. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Sanders, one son, Terry Alan Sanders, both of Bella Vista; and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NWA Children Shelter and St. Bernard Catholic Church Building Fund. A rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, with a Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Church. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall after the burial.
