Esther Dean DeFore Russell

Esther Dean DeFore Russell, 90, of Springdale, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012. She was born May 17, 1922, in Sweet Springs, Mo., to Irvin Jesse and Dovie Lucitta Crabtree Cundiff. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Hughlon DeFore, and Charles Russell. She is survived by three children, Wanda Holm and husband Jim of Phoenix, Ariz., Ruth Counts and husband Bill of Springdale, James DeFore and wife Connie of Mesquite, Texas; a sister, Lucille Brown of Marshall, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Ernest Greenwell of Lawrence, Kan.; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
