Jesse Lindsey Jones

Jesse Lindsey Jones died Aug. 22, 2012, in Springdale, Ark. He was born Aug. 16, 1918, in Vincent, Texas, to Chester and Madge Ragan Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maurice Bledsoe Jones whom he was married for 71 years. He was a rancher for most of his life. He also wrote and published "Slim and Me" and "Cedar Canyon." He loved writing short stories and reading. He was a 32nd-degree Mason. He was also on the Washington County Mounted patrol. He is survived by two sons, Chester Jones of Illinois and Grady Jones of Fayetteville, Ark.; two daughters, Ann Skipper of Texas and Frances Harrison of Lowell, Ark.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
