Annie Lee Safley

Annie Lee Safley, 86, of Springdale died Aug. 19, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born March 31, 1926, in Spring Valley, Ark., to Rudolph and Jane Vaughn Huffman. She was a member of Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Annie enjoyed gardening, writing poems, singing and playing the piano, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Morris and Glen Safley; two sons, Randy Morris Sr. and Roger Morris; great-grandson, Jason Morris; and sister, Lottie Davis. She is survived by son, Rudy Morris of Springdale; brother, Earl Huffman of California; two sisters, Kathryn Bradshaw of Forsyth, Mo., and Dorothy Duncan of Kansas; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will follow at Morriss Cemetery.
