Deloris Jean Benson

Deloris Jean Benson, 82, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at Highlands Health Care in Bella Vista, Ark. She was born on April 12, 1930, in Spickard, Mo. She moved to Bella Vista in 1992 from Wichita, Kan. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Wichita, serving as an elder and deacon. She served as an elder of the Bella Vista Presbyterian Church, class of 2001. She also served on the Outreach Committee and was a member of Women's Christian Club and New Home Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Benson; brother, Arthur Fox; sister, Augusta Foster; and son, Timothy. She is survived by one son, Michael Benson of Fall River, Kan.; daughter-in-law, Annalene Benson of Taylorsville, Ky.; two sisters, Verla Hickman of Bella Vista, Ark., Jesse Dora Sutton of Seattle, Wash.; sister-in-law, Frances Benson of Bella Vista, Ark.; four grandchildren, Luke Benson, Jesse Benson, Sarah O'Neal and Angel Benson. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista.
