Leonard McGarrah

Leonard E. McGarrah, 79, of Lowell, Ark., passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at the Circle of Life Hospice house in Springdale. Leonard was born on June 12, 1932, in Lowell, a son of Frank McGarrah and Ollie Baker McGarrah. He was the widower of the late Daisy Grimes McGarrah, who preceded him in death. Leonard was a brick mason by trade, a member of the Revival Tabernacle who loved the Lord, loved animals and enjoyed playing Bingo. Leonard was also preceded in death by one brother, Virgil McGarrah; and three sisters, Christine Mounce, Mary Mounce and Josie McClure. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, including his caregiver, Linda Luper. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. with burial being held at the Friendship Cemetery under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
