John Paul Lupton

John Paul Lupton, 67, of Springdale, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born March 27, 1945, in Syracuse, N.Y., to parents, John Harris Lupton and Mildred "Peg" (Baker) Lupton. He was a carpenter by trade and worked for the University of Arkansas for 35 years. He married his wife, the former Sarah Barbara West, in Memphis, Tenn., in 1975, then they were remarried in the Catholic Church in 1982. He lovingly built their house on the lake, which was his favorite place. He was a loving and dedicated father to his children. He was a member and EMC of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara Lupton of the home; daughter, Jessica Hulse and husband, Geoff, of Fayetteville, Ark.; son, John P. Lupton Jr. and wife, Jessica Efird; and sister, Ann Hardin of Fayetteville, Ark. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fayetteville, Ark., with interment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
