Bonnie 'Marie' Wyrick

Bonnie "Marie" Beason Wyrick finished her journey and started her eternal life with her Lord Jesus on April 17, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Ark., surrounded by her family and friends. Marie was born Aug. 17, 1926, in Zincville, Okla., the daughter of Everett Ray and Bonnie Fay Griggs Beason. She grew up in Quapaw, Okla., and attended the Assembly of God Church. She was leading praise and worship the night she met her future husband and the love-of-her-life, Orval Wyrick. Their courtship carried on for several months when Orval knew that this beautiful lady was who he wished to spend the rest of his life with; they soon married on Aug. 30, 1943, in Quapaw, Okla. Marie is survived by her husband, the Rev. Orval Wyrick of the home, and to this union two daughters were born, Brenda Hutcheson of Bentonville and Anita Warren (Terry) of Miami; grandchildren, Kim Payne (Mike), Keilia Larimore (Don), Kassie Gooder (Mike) and Ryan Warren (Savanna); great-grandchildren, Caleb Payne (Jordan), Ashley Dickey (Randy), Kayla Nash, Blake Nash, Jessica, Kendra and Austin Gooder, Aubrey Warren, Landen Warren, and soon expecting Jaxson Warren; and soon one great-great grandchild; she is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Hensley ( John) of Springfield, Ore., and Billie Darnelle (George) of Wichita, Kan.; brother, Howard Ray Beason of Joplin; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Leona Mae Beason, Wanda Hildebrand and Beatrice Joiner; brother, Don Beason; and son-in-law, the Rev. Harley Hutcheson. Marie was a devoted pastor's wife for over 60 years where she assisted in leading praise and worship during church and evangelistic services. She opened up their home to missionaries, evangelists and was a mentor to families through teaching the Word of God. After church services, she opened their home where people came for hospitality and continued fellowshipping with one another. She was a loving mother to her daughters and a warm and tentative grandmother. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, and spending time in her rock and flower garden. Visitation will be 3:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth St., Rogers. Visitation will also be Monday, April 23, 2012, from noon to 1 p.m., with funeral services at 2 p.m. at the North Miami Assembly of God Church on Newman abd Pine Street, Miami, Okla., with Pastor Terry Warren officiating.
