Gene Raymond Tedford

Gene Raymond Tedford, age 67, of Rogers, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2012, due to complications after brain surgery in September 2011. He passed in the presence of his wife, his two children, and a sister. Gene was a 1963 graduate of Rogers High School. For many years he was an avid fast pitch and slow pitch softball player, but he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and other sports; he was a baseball coach and umpire for many years. He always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who considered him to be the "fun grandpa" because of his witty sense of humor. He was of the Baptist faith. Gene was born in Stafford, Kan., on Sept. 27, 1944, to John and Viola Tedford He was preceded in death by his parents and one Brother, Glenn Tedford. Survivors include his wife, Anna (Marler) Tedford; son Ron Tedford and wife Danean; daughter Traci Partain and husband Matt; brother Dewayne Tedford; sisters Brenda Ullmann and husband Lee, Fern Carter and husband Curtis; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a special person to Gene Brent Boydston and his family. A private family memorial was held honoring the life of our husband, dad, grandpa, and brother, who will forever be missed.
