Liberty Precure

Liberty Pearl Precure, 93, of Rogers, passed away April 8, 2012, at her home. She was born Nov. 10, 1918, in Bridgeport, Texas, to Earl and Ana Wolff Kidd. She married Ernest Paul Precure, July 21, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Okla. After Ernest was discharged from the Navy at the end of WWII, the couple moved to Lowell, Ark., where they farmed until they formed the company of Rogers, Sand and Gravel, from which Liberty eventually retired. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Littleton Earl Kidd; and a great-grandson, Daniel Paul Precure. Survivors include the couples' three sons, Clarence Paul and wife, Oleta, Jimmy Don and wife, Jan, and Erney Lynn and wife, Ronna; two grandsons, Michael Precure and wife, Paula, and Bryan Precure and wife, B.J.; and three great-grandchildren, Bryce, Brady and Bethany Precure, all of Rogers. Liberty was a member of the Rogers Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and crocheting, and had completed over 7,500 hours at Mercy Health Auxiliary, where she remained a volunteer. Funeral services will be held at the church, 2501 W. Oak St., on Thursday, April 12, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in downtown Rogers, Wednesday, April 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Liberty's name to the Mercy Medical Auxiliary in Rogers, Arkansas.
