Royce Dale Birdsong

Royce Dale Birdsong 71 of Springdale, died April 5, 2012, at Fayetteville Veterans Home. He was born Sept. 25, 1940 in De Queen, Arkansas to Monroe and Lola Southall Birdsong. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years. He later worked at Danaher. He was a 32nd Mason. He was preceded in death by one brother Aaron Birdsong. He is survived by his wife Eula Smith Birdsong. Four sons; Jeffery Chitwood and wife Rhonda of Tulsa, Troy Chitwood and wife Carol of Alaska, Derry Birdsong and wife Denise and Denny Birdsong both of Springdale, brother, Larry Birdsong of Houston, Texas, and sister, Margaret Bozeman of Vider, Texas. Eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at Lakeview Baptist Church in Cave Springs with Pastor Derry Birdsong officiating.
