Wayne Watson Ellis

Nov. 21, 1953 - March 26, 2011 Wayne Watson Ellis, 58, of Brazoria, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012. He was born Nov. 21, 1953, in Cuba, N.Y., the eldest son of Don and Elvira June Graves Ellis and stepmother, Janet (Bunk) Ellis. Wayne served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Brazoria County Calvary motorcycle escort group. Wayne was an employee of Gulf Chemical and Metallurgical Corp., in Freeport. He loved to fish and was never a stranger to anyone he met. He touched many lives during his time on earth and will be sorely missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Brazoria; son, Jason Ellis of Brazoria; daughter, Kimberly Ellis of West Columbia; granddaughters, Savannah Ellis and Krystie Austin of West Columbia; brothers, Mark Ellis, Jeffery Ellis and wife, Tammy, of Rogers, Ark., and John Ellis; sisters, Dianne Puryear of Bentonville, Ark., Patricia Bullard of Bella Vista, Ark., Pauline Taylor and husband, Leon, of Kingston, Ark., Susan Richardson and husband, Joe, of Fayetteville, Ark., and Donna Braswell and husband, Kevin of Fort Smith, Ark.; sister-in-law, Katherine Rubio of Richwood; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Stroud Funeral Home in Clute, Texas.
