Patricia R. "Pat" Early

Patricia R. "Pat" Early, 89 of Searcy, formerly of Eureka Springs, died October 28, 2011. She was born January 22, 1922 in Minneapolis, Minn. to the late George and Elise Huey. On June 27, 1948 she married John V. Early. John and Pat lived in McPherson, Kansas about 6 years and then went to San Paulo, Brazil in 1954 where they spent three years. They then spent the next two years in Williston, North Dakota before going to Hastings, Nebraska. While in Hastings, Pat was an active member in the Grace United Methodist Church and the China Belles. Pat moved to Eureka Springs on April 26, 1989 where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Lucy Clark Circle. She was a member of the Hospital Guild and in 1991 was employed by the Eureka Springs Hospital. Pat is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, Owen Huey. Survivors include three children, John V. Early, Jr.; Robert L. Early; Cathy Early Smith; one stepdaughter, Sharlee Stuebing; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; two step-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church, 195 Huntsville Road, Eureka Springs, Arkansas by Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, Searcy.
