Thelma Lee Broom

Thelma Lee Broom, 88, of Fayetteville, Ark., formerly of Searcy, Ark., died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. Mrs. Broom retired from Eli and Walker and was a member of West Race Baptist Church in Searcy. She is survived by one son, Steven M. Broom (Shirley) of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter, Rhonda Case (Larry) of Fayetteville, Ark.; one brother, Henry Levi Lee Jr. of Petal, Miss.; two sisters, Janice Haddox of Colombia, Miss. and Libby Murray of McComb, Miss.; four grandchildren, Robert C. Broom, Stevenie Pry (Ron), Averi Duffield (David), and Charla Roberts (Mike); and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert M. Broom. Visitation will be Monday, July 25 from 1 p.m. until the service begins at 2 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven, Miss. Burial will follow in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven.
