Elanor A. Schultz

Elanor was born in Todd County, Minn. to Amelia and Daniel Anderson. She graduated from the Long Prairie High School, attended Normal Teacher's Training and earned her B.A. degree and master's degree in special education from St. Cloud, Minn. Teacher's College. She taught in rural one-room schools and classrooms in a Minneapolis suburb for years, spreading her love of reading, singing and dramatic presentations to her hundreds of students. Elanor continued to share her many talents with sister, Claren and brother-in-law, Don and also with Butterfield Trail Village friends in Fayetteville, Ark. Elanor will be greatly missed by family members Thomas (Barbara) Schultz, Donna (Don) Friedrich, infant great-grandson, Zachary Friedrich, Andrew (Kristin) Friedrich; Winifred (Kermit) Krohn, Nancy (Bryan) Yamasaki; and grandchildren, Sara Schultz and Brian Friedrich. She leaves a sister, Claren and husband Donald Schroder of Bella Vista; and niece, Joanne; and great neice, Michele Tallon of DeKalb, Illinois; and her brother's son, Daniel and Cathy Anderson and son, Mathew who live in Keizer, Ore. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 11, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Butterfield Trail Village Chapel in Fayetteville. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Butterfield Trail Chapel.
