Benton County

All Saints Episcopal Church in Bentonville, 2904 NW Third St., holds its annual meeting at 12:15 p.m. Sunday following the 11 a.m. service.

A noon Bible study begins Jan. 22 in Parish Hall. All are welcome to read and study the Book of Romans. A daily reading list and other resources can be found at goodbookclub.org.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., opens its Shepherd's Food Pantry every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon and is in need of peanut butter, jelly and cereal. A container for donations is in the church narthex.

The Men's Bible Study meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Please park in back and enter the lower level.

Bentonville Church of the Nazarene, 220 N.W. A St., and the Benton County Interfaith Alliance invite all members of the community to remember and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at noon Jan. 21. Participants will view a digitally remastered version of the "I Have a Dream" speech, followed by a brief presentation on the significance of this speech for today. To conclude this time of remembrance, prayers from various religious traditions will be offered, and a community art project will be completed. Children and young people are welcome.

First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, 901 N.E. J St., offers Financial Peace University, a nine-week course on reducing debt and creating financial health and peace, starting Sunday. Class meets at 4:30 p.m. in Classroom 9.

The Food Pantry is open for Benton County residents on Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m.

Unitarian Universalists of Benton County, 1400 W. Walnut, No. 113, Rogers, hosts musician Charles Faulk and soloist Kate Williams presenting "My Fair Lady: Anatomy of a Musical" at Sunday's service. The last of seven Chalica candles representing the Unitarian Universalist seventh principle, Respect for The Independent Web of All Existence, of Which We Are A Part, will be lighted.

At 7 p.m. Jan 22, a poetry reading and visual presentation by Chidam Iyer is scheduled. The public is invited to attend.

Unity Church of the Ozarks, 12 McKissick Creek Road, Suite 1210, Bentonville, installs new chaplains at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. At noon, Chidam Iyer will present poetry readings from his "Journeys to the Whispering Heart."

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, the class studies "Reading the Bible Again for the First Time" by Marcus Borg. All classes are followed by a 15-minute meditation.

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts the Oasis Food Pantry from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 23. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of friendly volunteers. A potluck dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, and the community is always welcome. At 6:30 p.m. there will be singing, devotions and prayer for adults in the Worship Center. A nursery for infants and toddlers is available.

Washington County

First United Methodist Church in Springdale, 206 W. Johnson Ave., will start the new session of Grow First Bible Studies on Jan. 23. Studies include "The Alpha Course" led by the Rev. Todd Lovell; "Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed," a women's study on the life of David, led by the Rev. Jen Ryerson; and "The Gospel of Luke," led by the Rev. Andrew Thompson.

Washington Regional Pastoral Care Department, 3 E. Appleby Road, Suite 102, Fayetteville, will offer a grief support group for women who have experienced loss through stillbirth or miscarriage.

The group will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. every Sunday. It will be led by Jacqueline Eakens, chaplain of the Benton County Sheriff's Department.
