'Night at the Rep'
The North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual "A Night at the Rep" fundraiser Tuesday at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, 601 Main St., Little Rock. The Rogers Christmas Parade starts at 7 p.m. Friday at the corner of Fifth and Poplar streets, Rogers. The parade heads toward Heritage High School east on Poplar, north on First Street, west on Walnut Street and south on Seventh Street. Rogers open house
The Rogers Historical Museum, 322 S. Second St., Rogers, holds its 19th annual Holiday Open House, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday with the theme, "Here Comes Santa." The event includes guided tours of the 1895 Hawkins House and the opening there of an exhibit titled "Here Comes Santa Claus," displaying the the history of Santa, plus and decorations of pine boughs and holly, plus crafts and refreshments. More than 1 million lights will illuminate Harding University, 915 E. Market Ave., Searcy, with the annual lighting ceremony, 6 p.m. Monday on the front lawn near the David B. Harding lectures
Alex Kendrick, film writer, producer, director, actor and co-founder of Kendrick Brothers Productions, will give a talk at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Harding University's Benson Auditorium. It's part of the university's American Studies Institute 2019-20 Distinguished Lecture Series.
In 2002, Kendrick and his brother, Stephen, began production of their first movie, Flywheel, which Alex Kendrick wrote, directed and produced and in which he acted, alongside 60 church volunteers. The brothers have since written and produced several films, including Facing the Giants, Fireproof, Courageous, War Room and most recently Overcomer.
And the university's American Studies Institute's Distinguished Lecture Series will feature two talks in Benson Auditorium:
• Stephen M.R. Covey, author and co-founder of FranklinCovey's Global Speed of Trust Practice, lectures on "The Speed of Trust," 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20.
• New England Patriots tight end Benjamin Watson gives a lecture titled "Under Our Skin," 7:30 p.m. April 21.

Air Structures
