Little Rock man charged in boy's shooting

A Little Rock man was arrested Thursday in the November shooting of a boy, according to arrest reports.

James "Otm Jayy" London, 18, shot a Little Rock youth in the chest on Nov. 29, according to court documents. Though the victim did not initially press charges, investigators report that he came forward Sept. 20 to identify his attacker.

Officers initially met the victim, who was younger than 18 at the time of the injury, after a reported shooting on the 3700 block of Asher Avenue, court documents said. Two victims were reportedly injured in the shooting, though neither chose to press charges at the time.

A house and a car were also struck, court documents said.

On Sept. 20, the victim told investigators he wanted to press charges against London because he felt the man needed to be "taken off the streets." The youth also identified the second injured man as one of the shooters in the November incident.

Officers arrested London on Thursday on the 1200 block of Geyer Street on a charge of first-degree battery, which is a felony. London was in the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.
