Where I live: I live in SOMA, which is part of the Governor's Mansion Historic District in a house that was built in 1869. I live with Keith Sandridge, Bobo, our standard poodle, and two crazy cats, Martin and Fanny.

Occupation: I have been a makeup artist for 30 years. I have done television, movies, print work and runway. For the past five years, I have been a buyer and makeup artist for B. Barnett.

My favorite space is: My dining room. I love having dinner parties, charity events and just getting to entertain people. I enjoy the preparation prior to a dinner party; setting the table, pressing the linens, the hunt for the perfect flowers, etc.

Why? This is a room where you can get to know old friends and new friends better. Everyone gathers in this room where they feel warm and comfortable and are able to let go of any of their problems and have a good time. A lot of my favorite treasures from traveling are in this room. Some of the features I love so much are the windows. They are floor to ceiling and work as a pass through onto the front porch.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Nothing as of yet, but for me, a home is a constant evolving project that is never completed. You just kind of have to enjoy the space at the time.
