Langston blows out Lyon

Langston's Jaylen Lowe completed 18 of 30 passes for 283 yards and 6 touchdowns, and rushed for 113 yards on 11 carries in leading Langston to a 48-21 victory over Lyon College in Langston, Okla.

Langston jumped out to a 28-6 halftime lead with Lowe throwing a 14-yard pass to Isiah Shaputis, a 3-yard pass to Preston Walker, a 61-yard pass to Lewis and a 6-yard pass to Cameron Booty.

Lyon, which had field goals of 23 and 39 yards from Ignacio Gomez in the first half, closed to within 35-19 in the third quarter thanks to a 4-yard run by Jared Puamau and a 17-yard run by Spencer Childress.

Langston pulled away with an 11-yard touchdown pass from Lowe to Keith Tracy, an 11-yard interception return by Terrance Grimsley and a safety.

Childress led Lyon (3-5, 2-4 Sooner Athletic Conference) by completing 14 of 25 passes for 161 yards, and rushed for 53 yards on 10 carries. Langston is now 6-1 overall and 6-0 in the SAC.

Lyon defeats Lindenwood

Rafael Santos scored two goals to lift Lyon College to a 3-1 victory over Lindenwood University-Belleville on Saturday in Batesville. Emanuel Santos scored the other goal for Lyon.

Vicente Alamos made four saves for Lyon (8-7, 6-4 American Midwest Conference). Lindenwood falls to 8-5-1 and 5-3-1.

Williams Baptist blanks opposition

Giovanni Souza scored twice to lead Williams Baptist College to a 5-0 victory over St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Saturday in Walnut Ridge.

Matheus Begami, Luis Vojnovic and Thayrone Cazeca also scored for Williams Baptist (6-7-1, 4-5 American Midwest Conference).

WOMEN'S SOCCER

OBU falls to SW Oklahoma

Ouachita Baptist University fell 4-1 to Southwestern Oklahoma State on Saturday in Weatherford, Okla.

Natalia Arteaga scored the Lady Tigers' goal in the 58th minute. Memory Phiri scored twice for Southwestern Oklahoma

Erin Webster made seven saves for Ouachita Baptist (7-8, 5-5 Great American Conference).

Harding downs NW Oklahoma

Amelia Grizzell and Bethany Sutherland scored in the 28th and 48th minutes to lift Harding University to a 2-0 victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, Okla., on Saturday.

Harding outhsot Northwestern Oklahoma State 25-18. Jessica Woessner made seven saves for Harding (6-8-0, 6-4-0).

Lyon falls to Lindenwood-Belleville

Lyon College fell 3-0 to Lindenwood-Belleville on Saturday in Batesville.

Lyon (6-7-2, 5-4-1 American Midwest Conference) was outshot 19-6. Olivia Wolfram made seven saves for Lyon.

UALR beats ASU

Veronica Marin had 15 kills while Taylor Lindberg and Carol Barbosa had 10 in leading the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to a 25-17, 20-25, 17-25, 28-25, 15-12 victory over Arkansas State University in Jonesboro on Saturday night.

Diana Giordani led the Trojans (14-8, 6-3 Sun Belt) with 20 digs while Sydnee Martin had 16, Myra Robinson had 12 and Pamela Zuluaga had 11. Lindberg also had 25 assists.

Carlisa May led Arkansas State (12-5, 4-5) with 24 kills and nine digs. Macey Putt had 15 kills and 16 digs. Kenzie Fields had 28 digs. Ellie Watkins had 49 assists and 16 digs.

UCA downs New Orleans

The University of Central Arkansas defeated New Orleans 25-12, 25-23, 25-23 on Saturday in Conway.

Haley Tippett led Central Arkansas (18-5, 8-2 Southland ) with 15 kills while Samantha Anderson had 13. Bailey Waddington had 41 assists and Emily Doss had 14 digs.

Hendrix sweeps Centre

Hendrix College swept Centre 25-21, 25-13, 25-16 on Saturday in Conway.

Lauren Dwyer led Hendrix (18-5, 10-3 Southern Athletic Association) with 12 kills and 12 digs. Claire Smith had 19 assists and Amber Melcher had 14. Jeanette McGrath had 16 digs.

UAFS drops Texas A&M International

The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith defeated Texas A&M International 29-27, 25-21, 25-15 on Saturday in Laredo, Texas.

Anna Demmer led UAFS (15-10, 5-3 Heartland Conference) with 12 kills and 16 digs. Laryssa Correa had 22 assists.

Lyon falls to Freed-Hardeman

Lyon College lost to Freed-Hardeman 25-20, 22-25, 25-20, 25-19 on Saturday in Batesville.

Gracen Ratliff and Kendra Kelley had 13 kills to lead Lyon (16-14, 4-4 American Midwest Conference). Madisson Williams had 28 digs.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Harding wins Arkansas Tech Triangular

Harding University won the Arkansas Tech Triangular, finishing with 19 points while Arkansas Tech had 54 and Central Arkansas had 62.

Harding's Sharon Chepseba won the 2-mile race in 11 minutes, 38.9 seconds. Sydney Tabor finished second in 11:50.1, and Hayley Baca was third in 11:51.3.

Arkansas Tech's Halie Gilreath finished fourth in 11:58.8. Central Arkansas' Kennedy Timmerman finished ninth in 12:12.2
