Police arrest woman in connection to shooting death

SPRINGDALE — Police arrested a woman wanted in connection with a Monday burglary that ended with a man shot to death, according to a press release.

Rogers police arrested Kaili Cogdill, 21, at 5:45 p.m. Monday, according to the Springdale police. Cogdill is being held at the Benton County Jail on numerous charges, including residential burglary in the shooting at 4533 Greens Drive, according to the release.

Jalen Tims, 21, was involved in the burglary and was killed by the apartment resident, Clinton Pruitt, police said.

Pruitt, 29, told police he fired his weapon at Tims, who had kicked in his door with the help of Cogdill at 6:57 a.m. Monday, police said.

Springdale detectives determined Pruitt and Cogdill were acquaintances and had met through an online dating app, according to the press release.

Detectives are working with other area agencies to determine if Cogdill and Tims are suspects in other similar incidents, police said.

Springdale police will forward the case to the Washington County prosecutor’s office for review to determine if any charges will be filed against Pruitt, according to the press release.
