Marlsgate Plantation in Scott was the setting at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 17, for the marriage of Abby Michelle Cash and Andrew Deane Carter. Officiating were the Revs. Will Choate of Argenta United Methodist Church and Buddy Ratliff of First United Methodist Church in Camden.

The bride is the daughter of Cathy and Mike Cash of Camden. Her grandparents are the late Margaret and Martin Cash, the late Eleanor and John Holian and the late Elroy Sullivan, all of Monticello.

The groom is the son of Margaret Sontag Carter of Little Rock. He is the grandson of the late Jackie and Jack Sontag of St. Louis and the late Juanita and Lauren Carter of Little Rock.

The ceremony was held on the veranda decorated with palms and ferns in antique urns. Music was by the Little Rock String Quartet and Joe Joyner.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless silk A-line dress with a sweetheart bodice. She carried a bouquet of peonies, roses, lavender, rosemary and cotton bolls.

Dr. Sarah Brown of Little Rock, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brooke Garner of Camden, Libby Paxton of Texarkana and Meagan Cedillo of Texarkana, Texas. Junior bridesmaid was AnnaLee Brown of Little Rock, cousin of the bride. They wore gowns of floral printed chiffon. Their bouquets were filled with pale pink calla lilies, roses and magnolia leaves.

Flower girl and ring bearers were Katy Finley, Carter Finley and Jack Finley of Little Rock, niece and nephews of the groom.

Groomsmen were Hunter Williams of Little Rock, Ryan Buchman of Dallas, Geeve Golmirzaie of Plano, Texas; and Marty Cash of Camden, brother of the bride. Guests were seated by Kevin Jackson of Petal, Miss.; Dru Samuelson of Rogers; Chris Farmer of Nashville, Tenn.; and Stuart Finley, Zach Thicksten and Chase Martin, all of Little Rock.

A reception, also at Marlsgate, was held after the ceremony. Sterling silver vessels and antique cut-glass epergnes held arrangements of magnolia leaves, cotton bolls, white and lavender roses, dusty miller and fresh rosemary. Assisting were Katie Strickland, Chloe Strickland, Ella Williams and Drake Carter, cousins of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Southern Arkansas University at Magnolia with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is an early childhood developmental specialist at Grow Learning Centre.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor's degree in speech communications. He is a sales representative for Coastal Construction Products.

After a honeymoon in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Little Rock.
