Knowing how to locate a gobbler, calling the bird into shotgun range, handling your firearm in a safe manner and knowing the regulations are all parts of a successful and safe hunt.

Topics will include locating, firearms safety, hunt preparation, how to call a turkey, identifying legal birds and information on shooting ballistics. This clinic will be preparation for hunters wishing to participate in either Missouri's youth-only turkey season, April 7-8, or the state's regular spring turkey season, April 16-May 6.

Arkansas' youth turkey hunt is April 7-8. The regular spring turkey season is April 9-24 in most of the state. The season is shorter in some areas of Arkansas. Check spring turkey hunting regulations for season dates.
