• The two former presidents who gathered in Kennebunkport, Maine, weren't father and son. They were Republican and Democrat, and former competitors. Former Democratic President Bill Clinton visited with former Republican President George H.W. Bush at the Bush family compound on the coast at Walker's Point. A photo posted on Twitter showed the nation's 41st and 42nd presidents sharing a moment as Bush, 94, showed off a pair of "Bill Clinton socks." Clinton, now 71, ended Bush's plans for re-election in 1992 but both Bush, and his son, former President George W. Bush, are now friends with Clinton. The elder Bush enjoys wearing colorful socks and wore socks with books on them to his wife's funeral to honor her commitment to literacy. Barbara and George Bush were married for 73 years before her death on April 17 in Texas.

• Bee Gee Barry Gibb has received a knighthood at Buckingham Palace, and says he hopes his late brothers Robin and Maurice are proud of him. Gibb is the last surviving member of the fraternal trio whose falsetto harmonies and disco beats powered huge 1970s hits including "How Deep is Your Love," "Stayin' Alive" and "Tragedy." Maurice died in 2003 and his twin Robin in 2012. After being knighted Tuesday at the palace by Prince Charles, the 71-year-old songwriter said: "If it was not for my brothers, I would not be here." Gibb, who can now call himself Sir Barry, said the honor was "a bit surreal." He said "it is a high award that your culture can give you and that is something I am enormously proud of."

• A Philadelphia judge has denied Meek Mill's petition for a new trial in his decade-old drug and gun convictions despite support for the request by the district attorney's office. The rapper's attorneys cited credibility issues with a police officer who testified in his case. District Attorney Larry Krasner's office agreed to the new trial, saying it had no confidence in the officer's testimony. Judge Genece Brinkley said in an opinion Monday that Mill had not met his burden of proof in questioning the officer's credibility. A different Philadelphia judge has granted new trials in at least three other cases involving the officer's testimony. Brinkley sentenced Mill in November to two to four years in prison for violating probation. Mill served five months before the state Supreme Court ordered his release.
