WASHINGTON COUNTY

Elm Springs United Methodist Church, 118 N. Elm St., welcomes the Rev. Jonathan Griesse as its new pastor. Griesse is a 1993 graduate of John Brown University in Siloam Springs and worked a career in video and marketing. He earned a master of divinity degree in 2015 from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky., served First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs and spent several years in the mission field with his family.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, 2925 N. Old Missouri Road, will consecrate its new solar energy installation at 10:15 a.m. Sunday. The church last month installed a solar energy system designed to produce 100 percent of the church's anticipated energy needs.

First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, 901 N.E. J St., offers vacation Bible school, the "Rolling River Rampage," from 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 24-28. Each night begins with supper for the family, followed by different classes for adults and children.

Holiday Island Community Church, 188 Stateline Dr., presents Caitlin Secrest performing in a free concert at 1:30 p.m. July 1. Secrest currently performs in the "Hits of the Hollow" show at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo. Her performance is part of the church's Woodward Memorial Concert Series.
