BENTONVILLE -- A Cave Springs man pleaded not guilty to charges accusing him of sexually abusing two girls.

Justin Adams, 31, is charged with two counts each of rape and sexual assault.

Adams pleaded not guilty today at his arraignment before Circuit Judge Brad Karen. The arraignment was conducted via video from the Benton County Jail.

Adams was arrested April 16 after the father of a 15-year-old girl contacted the Cave Springs Police Department concerning allegations involving Adams. The girl said during an interview at the Children's Advocacy Center of Benton County that Adams started sexually abusing her when she was 9 years old, according to court documents.

Police interviewed Adams and he denied having any sexual contact with the girl, according to a probable cause affidavit.

A second report states a now 18-year-old girl claimed Adams began sexually assaulting her when she was 12 years old, according to a probable cause affidavit.

She said during an interview that Adams sexually abused her on different occasions, and Adams admitted to engaging in sex acts with the older girl, according to the affidavit.

Adams' next court appearance is scheduled for 8 a.m. July 16. He was being held today in the Benton County Jail with a $75,000 bond set.
