CINCINNATI - One chicken house is destroyed after a fire broke out at a Cobb-Vantress farm, Lincoln Fire Department officials said.

The house was empty and no chickens were harmed.

Farmington, Prairie Grove, Wedington, Cincinnati, Westville and Lincoln Fire Departments went to 24688 County Road 802, Lincoln Fire Administrator Jay Norton said. It appears the other three houses on that farm weren't damaged.

The fire is smoldering and is expected to smolder through the weekend, Norton said.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office also responded.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
