REVIEW: "Cabaret" Show remains challenging, contemporary

Posted: January 20, 2018 at 12:22 p.m.

“Cabaret” is showing at the Walton Arts Center through Sunday. The Broadway Book Club discussion for this show will take place Jan. 22 with “Berlin Stories” — Christopher Isherwood’s semi-autobiographical story that inspired the musical.

I saw "Cabaret" for the first time last night as it opened at the Walton Arts Center. Never seen the movie, never seen any clips or heard any of the music -- besides Liza Minelli's performance of the title song. And I've got to say, it was probably the most challenging piece of theater I've seen.
